Have you tried to go to the store lately and buy a half gallon of ice cream? I don't think you'll find any. How about 1.75 quarts instead? That seems to be the new standard size. Prices still seem to be steep for the regular list price which is in effect about 75% of the time. It seems that some clever person figured out that taking away about 12.5% of the ice cream is not detectable by the masses. It does still kind of feel like a half gallon doesn't it? It's a pitty I don't have a half gallon sitting in the freezer to compare it with.
What will the next item that we get shilled on be? Certainly not milk, butter or donuts. Perhaps .90lbs of ground beef? Dear please pickup a 1.72 quart container of OJ at the store on your way home.
